Hey, I’m Kat and this is my weight loss story – How I lost 40 pounds in 2 months and got in great shape for my wedding.

katabelle 1I haven’t been big all my life; in fact, I only started to gain weight when my parents and I moved from India to United States. Let me just say that the food here in the US is very different from what we were used to back in India.

How I gained weight

There are lots of fast foods and nice restaurants in my area and their food is delicious. I loved going out with my friends, and since my dad is an engineer and now we can afford it, we used to have dinner at nice restaurants at least 4 times per week. I also loved snacking chips at night.

What made me decide to lose weight

6 months after we moved in US, I met a wonderful guy and we fell in love. After dating for a few months, our parents decided that it was time for us to get married.

That was the moment when I decided to start doing something about my weight. I had only 2 months left to lose 40 pounds if I was going to fit into my dream wedding gown.

Every bride wants to look stunning on her big day and I wanted nothing less of that, especialy since we had over 300 guests.

The start of my weight loss story – How I found The Morning Fat Melter Program

“I have always remembered my childhood as a big baby and it turns out that the weight never left as it is usually the case even as I grew up.

The pounds just kept piling and I never gave much thought to it until I weighed over 360 lbs at the tender age of 23.

At this point I have a great feeling that I needed to do something considering that now I had a child to think about.

The thought of getting into health complications and leaving my son too early was just plain scary.

I had an urge to lose weight not just for the sake of my son, but to also have a new leash on life and feel good about myself.

Of course, there were so many pretty dresses I wished I could fit into and I wanted so badly to reach that level.

Tracy’s before and after weight loss – how it all started

So, just like any other person inclined to lose weight, I started my journey by finding out everything there was available on how to lose weight.

The most common ones of course are the diets and exercises that sometimes seem to achieve very little for most people like me.

I even motivated myself by watching weight loss videos and listening to success stories of people like me who had managed to shed off the weight. After all my searching,

I finally knew what I wanted to do; weight loss surgery seemed like the best option for me.

My weight loss surgery

Contrary to what many people think, a weight loss surgery does not offer an easy way out of the weight, it actually still demands for plenty of discipline and dedication for the desired results to be achieved. It only helps you reduce on the amount of food that you can eat.

I was, however willing to go the extra mile to make the surgery work for me. I was desperate to lose weight and I would do anything possible to fit into a sexy dress. I of course had to go through the pre-surgery tasks and tests to get me ready.

The day finally arrived and I found myself sitting in the pre-op room early in the morning. My brave side had completely faded and now I sat there going through all kinds of emotions but focusing more on the negatives.

I worried about how the surgery would go, whether it would be a success, whether it would work on the long run and whether I would make it through without any form of complications.

They were all justified and valid questions whose answers I unfortunately had to wait and see. I thank God that my new husband was with me as I took the baby steps towards a new me.

He was with me through the surgery preparation and the pre surgery pep talk from my surgeon.  We were just hoping that everything would turn out great.

A few hours later I was in recovery very sore, but happy that my surgery was a success with no complications. It was time to start with my second phase of losing weight and there was no time to rest however sore I felt.

There was a need to get me back to my feet to hasten healing and my nurse fortunately was more than nice to offer all assistance that I needed especially with the getting up and out of my hospital bed.

She was so encouraging even during those moments I felt I could not walk on my own. She pushed me hard and finally I was walking without help. Three days later I was out of hospital and very ready to do what remained.

After my weight loss surgery

The gastric bypass was not the end of things for me as far as weight loss went. I had to follow guidelines to start shedding off the pounds. The next 11 months saw a total lifestyle change for me.

I started eating healthy and kept off sugar, grease and fast foods that despite being enjoyable are weight gain culprits. I ate small amounts of food and lots of fruits and vegetables and remained very faithful to my exercises and vitamins.

This was a vacation that I took with my family 3 weeks after my weight loss surgery, and as you can see I was already 20 pounds lighter and I was getting healthier than I ever was.

When you see results coming up so fast, you get motivated, and I became so motivated that losing weight became the focus of my life.

Well, of course, after my family, which was simply amazing to have beside me in those hard times…



By the end of the 11th month, I had lost 189 lbs!. I was at 161 lbs from 350 lbs and I could wear sizes I never thought I would ever wear and it felt wonderful.

I have kept some of my old clothes to serve as a reminder of where I do not wish to go back as far as weight is concerned.

Again, together with my family, we went on another vacation. As you see, I was not the same. It seemed as if I shrink because of the cold weather :-))

The Downside of losing weight with surgery – What I did to get in great shape and become really sexy and fit


You see, I have lost all that weight mainly because I ate so much less than I used to. I did exercise, but I did not follow a real exercise plan, so I was covered in cellulite, and didn’t have a great looking body.

My skin was quite loose, especially around my waist line…. Even though I was skinnier, I hated how I looked in the mirror.
So, I decided to do whatever it takes to look great. I wanted to be sexy.

I was already skinny (kind of – cause I needed to lose another 30 pounds), so I only had to tone my body and make my skin elastic again, to look great…

So, I decided to hire a personal trainer. That’s when I met Aline Pilani.

“I now weigh 10 Lbs Less Than I Did in College”


I have always been what most would consider a “big girl”. In January 2015, I weighed 190 lbs (around 86 kilograms), which is quite overweight even for a woman my height.

I wasn’t always at this weight though… In my teenage years, I weighed only 140 pounds and I felt much healthier and happier.

I strived desperately over the years to get back to this weight. But with a stressful and busy work life, I struggled to do so. Nothing seemed to work for me. I tried everything from diet pills to exercise machines I saw advertised on TV.

I even tried crazy diets like the acai berry diet, and the green tea diet. At a point I even did The Insanity Workouts for 1 week, until I hurt my back doing them. They didn’t do anything for me. I was still overweight and considered myself ‘fat’. I really hated my body….

What has finally worked for me?
